Today a family boarded a plane headed for a country on the other side of the world...to Eastern Europe, where a little boy lies in a crib, unable to walk due to having only one leg which has a clubfoot. Wallace is a little boy abandoned by his parents because he was less than perfect in theirs and their society's eyes. Little does he know that he has a mommy and a daddy that God has moved to cross the ocean to save him. Little does he know that he is loved, and that a family has gone through countless hurdles already to bring him home.
WE well remember the many feelings we had when we were heading out on the adventure of our adoption...it was joyful but frightening at the same time, and while we at times felt very alone, we knew that God our Heavenly Father was with us, and that there were many people He had moved to support and pray for us through it.
The Center family needs our prayers as they embark on their adoption and face the many challenges and battles ahead. They also are in need of funds. Why it should have to cost so much to adopt a child noone wants is something I will never understand, but through our adoption I was reminded of just how great a cost Jesus paid to save us, and enable us to become a child of God, to be adopted into His family.
Please keep this family in your prayers. Our daughters Haylee and Naomi have been seeking to raise money for the Center family through their bracelet ministry...you can learn more about it at: www.laciesbracelets.blogspot.com They have a chipin on there, or you can chipin directly on the Center's blog at www.rilysilyfamily.blogspot.com (and if you want a bracelet, just email us at: www.childrenpreciousinhissight.blogspot.com
(they are precious bracelets and they take special orders)
