Lots of updates

I guess its been a while since I've posted...I hope everyone is having a good summer. I for one can't believe it is the end of August. Where did the summer go? :)

We've been busy here with our animals. The kids and I have been enjoying milking our goats and having fresh eggs each day. We've been learning alot. It is alot of work..partly because we only have a temporary coop and have to move it often, so we're looking for ways to simplify and become more efficient, but it has been good too for us to learn to work together. It is a joy to care for some of God's wonderful creatures and a blessing to have the milk and eggs :)

We had to say good bye to our dog Teddy today...he is going to a good home with 6 kids excited to have him, for which we are thankful. HE was a great dog in many ways... unfortunately he had been taught by his Mama to get chickens :( We will miss him.
Because we needed a dog to help guard the animals we looked into great pyranees dogs...which are very expensive, but the Lord blessed us with a pyranees mix puppy that a christian family --who we didn't know--offered to us for free after hearing more about our family. OUr daughter Naomi had been praying there would be one puppy left (there was) and that God would provide it (and He did!)

Our Haylee celebrated her 14th birthday on the 14th :) We are so blessed by her and look forward to seeing what God will do in her life this year. John also celebrated his 40 something birthday... he and I have been working on getting into better health lately...we have to keep up with these kiddos.

We had a major scare with Annabelle...who had been recovering well from Lymes Disease. On Haylee's birthday I discovered that an eczema rash she had as actually tiny tiny ticks...
all over her body.... under her arms, on her neck, arms, back, belly, legs...
it was sickening to see my baby covered with embedded tiny ticks. She had to endure about 2 hours of 3 of us working to pull them out. There must have been a hatching on her as I've never seen so many ticks or so small of a tick before (there was one regular size on on her too). Please please pray that she will not contract lymes or another disease again,
and that we can figure a way to keep them off her. The whole time, in between screams and cries, she'd say "why do they like me so much?" You're too sweet, baby :)

Lastly, we have been struggling here as the well on this property is drying up... we run out of water daily. We are renting a property we'd planned to rent to own with owner financing, so we weren't sure what to do about it. When we talked to the owners we found out that the owner financing that was planned will now longer be possible due to the state of the economy and real estate. This means that we will most likely be moving, looking for a home, packing and unpacking again for the 3rd time this year.
