Here we come, Slava!Well, I just made the blog private so if you're reading this, I just wanted to say thankyou for following our adoption blog and joining us in this great adventure.
We greatly value your support and prayers. We will be traveling to the Ukraine (the other side of the world!) and will have to be separated from our youngest children for 2 weeks or more, which will be very hard--I can't imagine it really and pray for God to help us through it.
First our whole family will travel Thursday the 16th to my parents in Maryland to get our 2 yearold and 4 yearold settled there. Then on Sunday the 19th John and I will travel over with our 3 oldeset children to arrive on the 20th, our SDA appt is the 21st (when we get the referral to go to the orphanage). We'll visit the orphanage each day and then after court (when we receive official approval for the adoption) ,I will travel home with Naomi and Jonah to see the little ones and wait for the rest to return once medical exam, birthcertificate and passport is obtained. It will be a long couple months. We are very excited that our time is nearly here.....though we have much preparing to do!
While we are gone we plan to update our blog as often as we can and share pictures --hopefully we can figure out internet over there! So check regularly and leave us lots of comments--we've heard that it helps so much. I also plan to have a separate family blog for our little ones where we can post special messages to them and my parents can post about what they are doing back and forth....we'll see how that goes :) We really enjoyed following the blogs of other families before us and learned alot about what to expect.

Just a reminder - you need to stop at the Embassy BEFORE you leave Ukraine to sign the form that will allow to finish all US paperwork on the way out of the country. Sort of a power of attorney. If you don't do it before you go to Izmayl you will all have to travel back there before Traci leaves, which could be quite expensive.
