We had court again yesterday morning at 10 am. It was a bit daunting as we waited and waited and waited (and it is very hot here with no air condition in the buildings)...turned out a juror forgot to come and they had to call her in. Irina's friend was able to get the paper faxed in plenty of time, praise God! When we finally got to go in, they presented the paper and they asked if there was anything else...and we all held our breath and the prosecutor laughed and said there are not obstacles to our family adopting these children, and that was it! While it made us sick to think of the money and time spent for those 3 minutes and 2 papers, we rejoiced that there were no other delays and that we were granted the adoption of these precious children.

THen we packed our bags and cleaned up quickly, ate lunch a final time at the Potato house, and we drove to Odessa...where we needed to get a power of attorney (giving John permission to get the birth certificates and passports without me, Traci) for when John returns here with the girls to bring Lily and Joshua home. We did not have time to see Lily (Lusa) and Joshua (Taras) before we left, but we said good bye yesterday.

We got to meet and thank the man who helped us get that needed paper for our court here in Odessa. After the notary we headed to the train station where we had to wait for several hours until the overnight train at 11:00 pm. Thankfully, Irina took us to an air conditoned waiting area with nice couches...it felt wonderful to be in the cool room (for a price of course but not too much).

We got McDonald's food to bring back while we waited...its interesting to see the differences at McDonalds...like containers for hamburgers, Mcflurries are smaller (like most icecream here), you pay for ketchup, and some additonal items on the menu. After that we waited outside for a hour and got on the train, by this time dripping wet from it being so hot. We were very thankful when the air condition got going on the train and this time, all of us got some sleep!

We arrived safely to Kiev and our driver drove us to Yuri's guest house where we will spend the day. We look forward to meeting and getting to fellowship with part of the Malone family and friends from their church who have been here on a mission trip and also leave tomorrow. We leave tomorrow at 5 pm...so around 8 am mountain time, or 10 am eastern time...so please keep us in your prayers tomorrow!

We overnight in Amsterdam and arrive home ....finally....Thursday night around 9:15 moutain time (12 am eastern) So thankful to be going home to our precious children. They have taken the delay very well at home and we're thankful for the wonderful care they've had with Danielle. They've been having a lot of fun but are looking forward to having Mommy and Daddy and Jonah home. We thank you for your prayers for us.
